Welcome to Arts Gateway MK

Our projects support local artists, performers and story tellers. Together we’re making creativity and culture part of everyday life in Milton Keynes

Since 2013, we’ve been based at Arts Central Studios in Kiln Farm which is home to around 85 artists studios as well as The Box Arts Club exhibition and performance venue. The Community Resource and Arts Centre – a large collection of costumes and equipment – is based here too while MK LitFest activities take place across Milton Keynes and the city centre.

Our Values and Purpose

As one of the key pillars of Milton Keynes’ cultural foundations, we aim to create a vibrant and thriving arts scene in the city, accessible to all. By focusing on our 6 values and our purpose, we can positively impact the community’s well-being, economy, and quality of life.

Our Purpose

  • Nurturing and supporting the arts in and around MK.
  • Supporting artists at all levels and stages, to grow and develop their practice.
  • Helping artists at the beginning of their artistic journeys to establish their practice.
  • Providing a creative community space for all cultural backgrounds, facilitating participation.
  • Increasing participation in the arts by MK’s diverse population – carrying out or facilitating creative projects/initiatives where there is a local need or appetite.
