Moira North

Originally from Lancashire, Moira has lived in MK for over 20 years. Married with 2 grown up children, she practised as a solicitor for over 30 years. Since arriving in Milton Keynes in 1987, Moira made good connections with the Community Foundation and the arts associations in and around Milton Keynes.

Moira has held a number of trustee positions in community based local charities, and helped establish an action group comprising women in senior positions across the commercial, public and third sectors. With the specific objective of building connections and mutual support across these sectors, the group ran for almost 10 years and enabled her to gain a good understanding of the successes, aspirations and challenges of sustaining and funding a vibrant arts scene across Milton Keynes.

In recent years Moira has helped with the administration of both Milton Keynes City Orchestra and Polymnia Choir and latterly was a Trustee of Westbury Arts Centre.
