MinK #1 compiles our favourite submissions from the open themed creative writing competition that we ran in parallel with Milton Keynes Lit Fest 2018. This beautiful, fully-illustrated and designed zine includes the best thirty-two entries in three categories ­- poetry, short fiction and illustration.

Apart from bringing a wealth of talent to audiences in Milton Keynes – fiction and non-fiction writers, poets, playwrights, journalists, historians and much more, both local and national – Milton Keynes Literary Festival is always keen to help to develop creative writing. As well as our ever-popular workshop events, we have also run creative writing competition for authors in the region, and anthologies of the carefully selected best entries are available for purchase. Proceeds help to support our future activities, and help us to encourage more creative writers.
