ARTS GATEWAY MK IS RECRUITING TRUSTEES

Trustee Recruitment
We are looking to further increase the size of our Board, to bring additional skills,
knowledge and connections and further innovation and fresh thinking to the team who
have helped it prosper so far. Trustees provide the oversight and governance for the
charity which includes a 70+ artists studio complex; part-time staff team; grants including
from MK Community Foundation, MK Council, Arts Council England.
We are particularly looking for people who can help AGMK with specific skills and
knowledge in:
• Programming or Producing in any artform
• Marketing and communications, including the use of digital media;
• IT
• Volunteer Management
We want the Board to have a wider representation of the diversity of our city. We are
particularly interested in hearing from people of colour and individuals from the LGBTQIA+
community as well as professionals in the early stages of their careers. You do not need
prior Trustee experience.The Board holds monthly meetings and Trustees take part in task-and-finish working
groups when specific issues arise that need more intensive consideration.

Our Recruitment Committee will shortlist and interview candidates. Candidates will then be
invited to join the board, or to take an observer role with a view to full trusteeship later
on.
