MK Lit Fest is bringing a wealth of diverse voices to your screens this Spring as we continue our online events season. Listen to womens’ voices as the 100 Voices for 100 Years projects celebrates a century of female suffrage, learn about the importance of LGBT voices as Chris Bryant MP tells how a group of almost forgotten queer and nearly queer rebel MPs helped change the course of Word War II, and hear BAME voices in the writings of novelist and screenwriter Courttia Newland.
And we have masterclasses and workshops too: come along and improve your skills in short story, poetry and flash fiction writing, songwriting and marketing yourself as a writer. Courttia Newland: A River Called Time

Courttia’s eighth novel, A River Called Time, is a story of love, social inequality and the search for the truth in an alternate world where slavery and colonialism never happened. As a screenwriter, he has co-written feature length films for the Steve McQueen BBC series Small Axe, of which Lovers Rock was jury selected for Cannes, and opened New York Film Fest 2020.
